Desktop Power Management: A Survey of Technology Professionals
The goal of this survey is to understand the efforts being made by corporate IT departments to manage the power usage of the desktop and laptop computers – for example, turning off computers and monitors at night when they are not being used. Over 500 IT professionals participated in this survey. The vast majority believe that there is an opportunity to save energy and reduce costs with power management for desktop and laptop computers; however, less than half of all participants are actively managing desktop power usage.
