Ready for a PC Refresh?

Microsoft contends 10% of all the PCs in the world ̶ of which there are nearly a billion ̶ are now running Windows 7, making the new operating system the winner for the fastest adopted OS in history. Combine these numbers with an estimated 400 million PCs in businesses now four years and older, and the perfect combination of opportunity and necessity would seem to be converging around a long awaited PC refresh cycle.

But the good news for the likes of Microsoft and Intel may not be the same for your IT department. A PC refresh will not only take time and money, but proper planning and prioritization with other complex projects like deploying Office 2010. Is it all or nothing in 2010?

If these are some of your IT dilemmas, TechRepublic is presenting an upcoming web event that should be of interest, called Systems Management: Getting Back to Basics to Enable Strategic IT Projects. It will help you understand some of the promising solutions and best practices to help with tough tasks like a system refresh, along with your other daily responsibilities. It’s complimentary, and you can access the webcast here.

Sincerely,
